HANDS DOWN

Becoming A Fractional CFO/Advisor Is The FASTEST Way For You To Get Paid MORE, While Working Less! Why? Because…

  • LOADS of newbie and offshore bookkeepers have flooded the market and are happy to undercut your fees. At the same time, Intuit (maker of QuickBooks) is aggressively going after your clients.
  • Business owners don't view bookkeeping and tax prep as a valuable service, so they pay the LOWEST PRICE possible. That means you likely aren’t treated (or paid) like a valued member of the team.
  • These low bookkeeping and tax prep fees mean you need to juggle many, many, MANY clients just to earn a decent living, forget about scaling.
  • Accounting firms are DOWNSIZING their bookkeeping staff, thanks to advancements in AI and automation. It’s literally time for you to evolve… or starve. (Remember Blockbuster?)
  • You didn't realize that much of the work you’re ALREADY DOING could be re-packaged, allowing you to TRIPLE (or more) your current rates.
  • Invisibility, you're the first call when something goes wrong or a request that falls out of scope, but the last one thanked when everything runs smoothly.

WHY NOW?

Here's what nobody wants to say out loud.

The work you do today is getting cheaper.

Data entry is automated. Reconciliation is automated. Categorization is automated. The software gets better every year and it doesn't ask for a raise.

And the parts a machine can't do yet are being done overseas for a fraction of what you charge.

This isn't coming. It's here.

Compliance work is becoming a commodity. And commodities compete on price, which means the only way to make more is to take on more. More clients. More hours. Same you.

That's the trap. And you can feel it closing.

But there's one thing that doesn't get automated. Judgment. Sitting across from an owner and telling them what the numbers mean and what to do about it. Nobody outsources that. Nobody buys software for that.

That's CFO advisory. That's the work that pays $3,000 to $8,000 a month per client.

You already have the skills. You're already answering these questions for free.

The only question is whether you'll still be waiting a year from now, doing the same work for less money, watching someone with half your experience charge five times your rate.

Come see what this actually looks like.

Hi, I'm Amy Brownell

The day my boss threw a landline phone at my head…

… was the first time I questioned whether the corporate ladder was really what I wanted.

Here's the thing. I was born for finance.

Even as a little girl, my dad and I talked about money and stocks.

Being the CFO, the money person, that was the dream.

So I did everything I was supposed to do. Got the MBA. Went straight into corporate. Worked my tail off inside huge international corporations and small businesses.

And I still love the work. 30+ years later.

It was all the other stuff that broke me.

80-hour weeks. Treated like a number, not a person. Bonuses tied to decisions I had zero control over. No pay increase for years and years. Sitting in traffic with the music up loud, trying to drown out the dread… time I could have spent with the people I love most.

My first vacation in a YEAR, I spent trapped in the cafeteria of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Husband off having fun. Me on my laptop, because work couldn't survive one afternoon without me.

True story.

Then came the nail in the coffin.
When my dad got sick, I flew back and forth between New York and California to help take care of him. The last trip was for his funeral.

My employer demoted me the day I got back.

If that's the top of the ladder... I don't want it.

Thirty years of doing everything right. And when it mattered most, I was a line on a spreadsheet.

So I stopped waiting for someone to hand me a life I could live with.

I built one instead.

I took the parts of financial services businesses value most, and figured out how to land those businesses as retainer clients. Clients who pay real money. Clients who don't have the legal right to treat you like an employee.

Then I knew I had to reach the people still stuck where I was.

Because everything changes the day you realize you can expand on what you're already doing, learn a few simple ways to find clients, and get paid what you're actually worth.

Corporate employee or freelancer. Bookkeeper, CPA, or CFO. Doesn't matter.
